Automatic fire suppression unit, suitable for B and C Fire Classifications, uses a clean and environmentally friendly 'drop-in' replacement for outlawed Halon pressurised with nitrogen.

New from Firemaster is the MP-2-0000 Novec1230 automatic fire suppression unit, the first system of its type using 3M's clean and environmentally friendly Novec 1230 'drop-in' replacement for outlawed Halon pressurised with nitrogen.

Developed to suit use in such diverse enclosed areas as plant rooms, machinery spaces, switchgear rooms and engine rooms, the units are suitable for B and C Fire Classifications and are safe for use on electrical equipment.

Designed to operate automatically at a temperature of 68degC, +/-5deg, units are also available with optional single or dual facility, enabling remote manual operation, both electrically and mechanically.

They are manufactured in the UK under BS EN ISO 9002 Quality Management and are CE marked.

These stored pressure units also provide easy low-cost maintenance.

Although usually maintained by the supplier or on a service contract, the system is can be user maintained by means of a visual gauge and by weight with a flexible 5% tolerance factor.

Novec 1230 fluid is heavier than water and is an effective fire extinguishing agent in standard fire scenarios where damaging halons were historically employed.

It has a low global warming potential, a low and atmospheric life and zero ozone depletion.
