Mobile unit filters metals hot fume extraction

A Flextraction product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team May 1, 2008

BGIA European Standard 200520840/1140 approved mobile cartridge filter for industrial fume extraction particularly suits fume extraction from thermal processing of metals said Flextraction.

Flextraction showed the TEKA Strongmaster, a BGIA European Standard 200520840/1140 approved mobile cartridge filter for industrial fume extraction at last week's UK MACH 2008 machine tool show.

The Strongmaster is designed for most industrial fume extraction especially from thermally processing precious metals.

It has a 1.1kW 230V, 400V or 500V, 50Hz three-phase motor producing a fan capacity of 3,000m3/h.

It is also available with two suction arms using a 1.5kW 230V, 400V, or 500V 50Hz three-phase motor producing a fan capacity of 3,500m3/h.

It is suitable for use with the whole range of BGIA approved TEKA suction arms.

Flextraction said the unit includes a separator and a novel, durable and manual dedustable large surface class W3 UPF filter cartridge, which remains in the unit during dedusting preventing dust from entering the work areas.

The Strongmaster also has the following standard features.

* A visual and acoustics filter monitor.

* Sealing face lifter for the filter seal inserts producing an airtight seal allowing air to re-circulate through the filter inserts.

* Hour meter.

* Direction display.

* Cable reel.

* Casters with brakes.

Flextraction told manufacturingtalk that the Strongmaster can also be supplied as a mid vacuum or high vacuum system complete with BGIA M filter cartridges.

A pre-separator protects the filter cartridges and serves as a distributor for the entire filter surface.
