GMI is promoting its newest instrument, V!SA, that the company says can be used in every industrial environment to protect personnel within confined spaces.

The design facilitates continuous wearing without intrusion while being robustly constructed.

It can also be configured with an internal pump to carry out pre-entry checks before the user enters a potentially dangerous space, or it can operate by diffusion.

Key features include plug-and-play sensors that allow easy change of gases, a loud (95dBA) and distinctive audible alarm, high-visibility alarms and ease of use, making a significant contribution to the success of the instrument.

The V!SA is certified to the latest international standards, such as ATEX, and comes with a standard five-year warranty (excluding sensors).

Contact GMI for further information on the instrument that boasts a low cost of ownership and a complete after-sales service.

GMI, founded in 1947, designs and manufactures portable and fixed gas detectors.

The company addresses numerous markets including oil, gas, water, shipping, electricity, petrochemical and construction.

Using infrared, electrochemical, catalytic and flame ionisation technologies, GMI's instruments monitor flammable and toxic gas, in addition to oxygen deficiency.
