Robots offer casting fettling flexibility

Being UK-based manufacturers, pillar characteristics such as body style, body diameter, thread type and thread length can be specified to meet customers' exact requirements rapidly and economically.
For example, a customer could specify a 37.5mm long round nylon pillar featuring an M3 female insert at one end and a 20mm long M4 male thread at the other.
All G and B pillars use only the highest grade virgin Nylon 66 and feature an innovative insert design and locating process To date, a G and B designed insert has never disengaged from the nylon body in any practical application.

Six-axis robots to speed up moulding systems
Robots will become increasingly familiar in injection moulding processes as cycle times are reduced and post-moulding processes need to be performed more efficiently then ever before.
Injection moulder has clamping force of 4000kN
The largest injection moulder yet built by Arburg - with a clamping force of 4000kN will make its first international appearance at the Fakuma 2002 plastics exhibition, Germany October 15-19, 2002.
Thanks to the exceptional strength and resilience of the solid body style and brass insert design, all nylon pillars from G and B are inherently resistant to shock, vibration in use, movement in transit, accidental falls and other incidents that typically cause inferior products to fail.
Compared to plastic or metal pillars, G and B products deliver the best of both worlds by offering increased strength over plastic pieces and excellent electrical insulation properties not attainable with metal, plus the added advantages provided by the solid nylon body design of minimised electrical flashover and the elimination of internal current tracking in comparison to conventional hollow constructions.
Also on show at Southern Manufacturing from G and B Projects will be the following.
* Nylon spacers.
* Snap-in nylon pillars and spacers.
* Brass pillars and spacers (clearance and threaded).
* Steel pillars.
* Self-tapping pillars.
* Micro pillars.
* Headed insulating bushes.
* Metric screws, nuts and washers (nylon and brass).
* Screwlock assemblies (D-type connector).
* Earthing bars (brass).
Almost every component can be custom-made to non-standard specifications, as required by the customer.
Free evaluation samples of G and B products will be available at the show for visitors to take away.
* About G and B Projects - G and B Projects is widely acknowledged as the industry's leading authority on pillars and spacers, having been manufacturing Europe's most comprehensive range for over 30 years.
