Glacier Computer announces GX-1200 rugged computer for steel, metal industry.

Glacier Computer, a leading designer, developer, and supplier of rugged industrial PC-compatible devices, announces its GX-1200 series computer for the steel and metal industry.

Ideal for the rigors of harsh steel and metal producing and processing environments, the GX-1200 boasts industry-leading horsepower and reliability, saving time and enhancing efficiency.

The GX-1200 is housed in a rugged enclosure and collects data for applications using forklifts, fixed-mount warehousing, and distribution and factory floor settings.

The GX-1200 has a touchscreen, integrated 802.11 B/G wireless, optional Bluetooth, and numerous mounting options.

With a very compact profile, the GX-1200 features a 1.1 GHz Pentium III processor and can accommodate various operating systems, including DOS, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, XP Embedded, and Linux.

The GX-1200 comes equipped with 256 MB RAM, with an option for 512 MB.
