Software tool reliably estimates project cost
A powerful decision-support software tool reliably estimates cost, staffing, schedule, reliability, and risk associated with all types of software development and/or maintenance projects.
IBM chose Galorath because of its large, established customer base in that sector as well as the value that the SEER software suite provides to their target market.
Software projects are defined using the new RSD or IBM's existing Rational Software Architect or Rational ROSE.
Use case information is extracted from the IBM tools and sent to SEER-SEM, providing estimates of cost, schedule, risk and reliability and achievable development plans.
The SEER-CriticalMassTM component extracts information from the Rational model and sends it to SEER-SEM right from the developers' artifacts.
This is exciting from a technical viewpoint since managers can get insights into the project's scope early, then continue to take advantage of this information throughout the project.
