New machine tools upgrade college
workshops
A total of 23 machines have been supplied by Gate Machinery Interational to North Lindsey College to modernise its workshop and improve the working environment for the staff and students.
It has long been the ambition of North Lindsey College, Scunthorpe, UK, to modernise their ageing engineering workshop with new metal-working machinery, however, until recently, funding restrictions have prevented any major acquisitions by the college "As a major provider of engineering training in the area, our continuing role in providing industry with a skilled workforce is of great importance, especially to the industries who benefit from the college's services, so it is important to have a workshop that is equipped with modern machinery that mirrors the type that would be found in industry," said Michael Watson, curriculum area manager in engineering
