Demonstrations feature CAD compare measurements on an A6 body of AUDI's new state-of-the art estate car
A V-STARS/M8 system will be utilized to perform CAD-compare measurements on a BMW car door using new ultralight, cable-free probes.
This presentation will highlight the real-time, online link from the probe and the actual car door to its corresponding CAD model and the V-STARS industrial measurement software.
To demonstrate high-speed digitizing of complex parts, a second V-STARS/M8 system will be setup with PRO-SPOT, GSI's non-contact projector technology, to measure thousands of points on a parabolic antenna.
CONTROL attendees will also get a look at GSI's V-STARS/S8 system and the V-STARS/E4X system being used for offline measurement of a small section of an Airbus aircraft fuselage.
The V-STARS "go anywhere" solution is best suited for in-place measurement and inspection of large objects such as aircraft, automobiles, ships, antennas, space hardware and much more.
At the heart of the system is the market-leading INCA3 digital photogrammetric camera with wireless operation for fast and efficient measurements in the most formidable environments.
The entire solution can be carried onboard an airplane, or checked as standard baggage to go from factory floor to offsite plants, or anywhere in the world.
For in-depth information on the use of photogrammetry for industrial measurement, GSI offers an informational DVD featuring live video of V-STARS technology being utilized for applications across the industrial marketplace.
