Dual check safety system for the i Series Model B CNC controls reduces installation cost for machines required to meet the European Machines Directive.
GE Fanuc announce that the new Dual Check Safety system available for the i Series Model B CNC controls reduces installation cost for machines required to meet the European Machines Directive, provides new support for configurations such as double and triple path control, loader control, and EGB CE control and also helps machine builders to realize useful reductions in cables, wiring, relay modules etc The new system, which satisfies Category 3 requirements of the European Safety Standard EN954-1, permits users to open guard doors safely as it controls the speed of servo/spindle drives to within acceptable limits, thereby providing protection to both personnel and machine and enabling machine set-up to be carried out effortlessly and efficiently without having to shut down the drives
