A new, easy-to-customise, machine tool operator's panel, suitable for use with Fanuc Series 16i, 18i and 21i CNC systems, has been developed by GE Fanuc.

Several additional I/O links have become available for the Series 16i, 18i and 21i CNCs, which will benefit machine builders and users alike.

For entry-level turning, GE Fanuc will be demonstrating the new shop floor programming software, Turn Mate i, for its 0i-TC / 0i Mate-TC Series CNCs.
For the higher level shop floor programming of milling, turning and compound machines, GE Fanuc's interactive software, Manual Guide i, has been upgraded to offer new facilities and further enhance ease-of-use.
It is supported by Manual Guide i Simulator which provides independent learning and simulation on a PC, with the ability to upload part programs to a CNC if required.
GE Fanuc will also be reinforcing its commitment as the first point of call for servicing and retrofitting of NC machines for users wishing to maximise their productivity.
Fixed price Service Contracts provide expert fault diagnosis via a 'hotline', original manufacturer parts and experienced GE Fanuc service engineers achieving a greater than 90% 'first time fix' rate.
Also available via the new Northampton office are 'bonded stores' available 24/7; 'spot' servicing for one off technical advice, spares and an engineer visit if needed; production optimisation by enabling CNC features; direct ordering via 'CNC Parts Online' for registered customers; and advice and support for retrofitting a more productive GE Fanuc CNC for a machine tool currently controlled by any make of CNC.
