Bearing greases raise machine performance

Addition of high performance bearing greases to a range of products enables customers to meet all their lubrication needs from a single source.

The latest Dow Corning Molykote line of bearing greases from industrial consumables specialist, RW Greeff, enables customers to meet all their lubrication needs from a single source.

Available in 400g cartridges, 25kg pails and 180kg drums, Molykote greases are high performance products that are suitable for a multitude of different applications including electrical motors, fan bearings, railway carriages, lifts, construction machinery, hot rolling mills, central locking systems and window lifters among many others.

Mineral oil based greases include G-0100 multipurpose motor bearing grease, G-0101 long life bearing grease and G-0102 high load bearing grease.

Blended greases include G-1001 for high performance at low cost.

Synthetic greases include G-2001 for excellent low temperature performance and G-6000 for excellent stability in high mechanical stress environments.

Thickened by a urea system, G-0100 grease offers a wide temperature range, low noise performance and excellent corrosion- and oxidation-prevention characteristics.

It is ideal for use in applications such as electrical motors, fan and water pump bearings and dryers in the chemical and paper industries.

Molykote G-0101 is thickened by a lithium system and offers wide temperature range for use in high-speed applications including rails and elevator and electrical motor bearings.

Ideal for use in a wide range of temperatures and offering excellent resistance against water washout, corrosion and wear, G-0102 high load bearing grease is thickened by a calcium complex system.

Based on a blend of mineral and synthetic oils, Molykote G-1001 bearing grease delivers high performance at low cost by combining the high temperature properties of its lithium-complex thickener with the low temperature properties of its highly refined constituent oils making it ideal for most roller bearing applications.

Molykote G-2001 high speed bearing grease is a synthetic oil-based grease thickened by a lithium system.

This grease offers excellent low temperature performance and provides the utmost protection against water and corrosion in high speed applications such as spindles, positioners, moulding cutters and for chemical and paper processing.

The absence of solid lubricants also makes this grease ideally suited to small and medium sized rolling element bearings operating at high speeds.

For high temperature applications, Molykote G-6000 bearing grease offers excellent stability in high mechanical stress environments.

A phenylether synthetic oil-based grease thickened by polyurea, G-6000 can be used at extreme high temperatures while offering excellent low temperature characteristics and is also suitable for equipment that is likely to be exposed to radiation.
