Inspection data viewed in 'real time'
A real time, wireless validation system, offers operators the option of either viewing data in real time without the need or cost of wiring or of collecting historical data from remote loggers.
GE Sensing, a market leader in thermal validation systems, introduced its RF real time, wireless validation system, the Kaye RF ValProbe, to the European market at Pharmatex, which took place in Cork, Ireland from September 11-13, 2007 This instrument offers operators the option of either viewing data in real time without the need or cost of wiring or of collecting historical data from remote loggers, using the company's well-proven Kaye ValProbe system

Face lift for moisture and humidity transmitters
GE Sensing's DewPro line of moisture and humidity transmitters gets a face-lift.
This feature is invaluable for verifying system set-up prior to studies or for verifying status at critical times during studies.
The breakthrough in validation metrology has been made possible by integrating exceptionally reliable and robust RF Mesh technology and multiply-redundant data storage with the state-of-the-art measuring capabilities of the ValProbe.
The resulting system consists of RF wireless loggers, a base station and appropriate software.

Calibration management simplified
GE Sensing has introduced a new calibration management software that simplifies calibration management in the field, workshop and laboratory.
The loggers provide high accuracy measurement of temperature, pressure and humidity through 4-20mA and 0-10V outputs and external and internal temperature transmitters provide maximum flexibility for various applications.
Data can be collected from many loggers distributed over a wide area and the Mesh networking technology ensures that no data is lost by permitting loggers to route data to another logger for subsequent forwarding if the direct path to the base station is blocked.
The software and data reporting features that accompany the RF technology provide regulatory-compliant text and graph reports, eliminating the need to download data to an Excel spreadsheet, significantly increasing flexibility, saving time and reducing the risk of data analysis errors.
Encryption guarantees data protection.
The prime area of application of the new system will be in the validation and monitoring of environmental chambers and storage areas, such as stability chambers, freezers, refrigerators, warehouses etc.
As Tim Wortley, senior global product manager at GE Sensing, commented, "The integration of RF Mesh technology into thermal validation instrumentation is a major breakthrough.
The fact that we have taken RF technology to a new level of data integrity, security and validability meets a long-standing need of the industry".
