A range of vertical compact liquid level sensors now includes stainless steel and brass constructions and up to 50W switching capability.

Switching, sensing and control solutions specialist Gentech International Ltd has added a new dimension to its range of vertical compact liquid level sensors, introducing stainless steel and brass constructions and up to 50W switching capability Stainless steel VCS90/91 sensors and brass VCS70/71 sensors complement Gentech's established polypropylene and Nylon 6.6 ranges, extending the applications potential to include high temperature hydrocarbons and water

VCS70/71 sensors, with a brass stem, Buna N float and SG of 0.5 are suitable for petroleum and oil at temperatures of 110degC.

Stainless steel VCS90/91 sensors, with an SG of 0.7, are ideal for water and food applications up to 130degC.

Measuring less than 60mm (21/2in) in length, with 28mm stainless steel (VCS 90/91) and Buna N (VCS 70/71) floats, the new products provide for high or low level sensing, with normally open or normally closed operation, via float reversal.

All are designed for internal fitting with NPT taper thread and feature UL listed magnetic reed switches.

Operating temperature range is -30degC up to +130degC with an initial contact resistance of 0.25ohms, maximum contact ratings of 100VDC, 250VAC, 1A, 50W and proven reed switch reliability up to 15 watts.
