GE Panametrics has released multilingual translation files for its recently launched PT878 'TransPort' portable transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter adding ten more languages.

GE Panametrics has released multilingual translation files for its recently launched PT878 'TransPort' portable transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter adding ten languages to English and available either supplied with new meters or uploaded via their built-in IR port and Flash memory.

French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Castilian or Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Russian translation file sets are available, based on the universal XML format for structured documents and data.

The PT878 meter uses clamp-on transducers to measure liquid flow rate in metal, plastic or lined pipes of 1/2 to 300in diameter for applications with 400:1 turndown ratio at up to 260oC.

It can log over 100,000 data points, downloadable to a PC, and display one to four parameters simultaneously in split screens on a large LCD.

It is lightweight for easy carrying with just one hand but designed for rugged industrial work and submersible to IP65.

A complete system includes the battery-operated rechargeable electronics, two ultrasonic transducers, a clamping fixture and transducer cables all fitting into a small durable case.
