GE Fanuc has introduced CIMPLICITY Machine Edition state-of-the-art machine-based HMI, motion and control technology for real-time collaborative manufacturing.

GE Fanuc has introduced CIMPLICITY Machine Edition state-of-the-art machine-based HMI, motion and control technology for real-time collaborative manufacturing.

Further enhancing its CIMPLICITY line of industrial automation software, GE Fanuc Automation introduces CIMPLICITY Machine Edition-an open, integrated development environment specifically designed for machine level HMI, Motion, and Control applications.

Employing an object-oriented, ActiveX "shell," CIMPLICITY Machine Edition provides a common user interface across all applications.

In addition, all CIMPLICITY Machine Edition components share a common database and common objects, including logic, scripts, graphical panels and data structures.

Once a variable with its properties is created, it can be re-used in other components of the project.

CIMPLICITY Machine Edition comprises three interoperable components: View, Logic Developer, and Motion Developer.

* View is a machine level HMI providing tools to visualise and control a process.

It supports communication protocols for all the major PLCs, including OPC client and server drivers, and publishes data and graphical panels over the web to a standard web browser * Logic Developer is a common development environment for programming, monitoring, and troubleshooting PLC and PC Control applications.

Logic Developer includes: Logic Developer PLC for programming all GE Fanuc PLCs, including Series 90T Micro, VersaMax, VersaMax Nano/Micro, Series 90-30, and Series 90-70; Logic Developer State, an alternative programming language for Series 90-30 and Series 90-70 PLCs using State Logic instead of traditional ladder logic; and Logic Developer PC for programming applications for Windows CE, Windows NT/2000, Embedded NT, and Hard Real-Time NT platforms * Motion Developer is used to develop motion-control programs for GE Fanuc's S2K series motion controllers.

CIMPLICITY Machine Edition components can exist alone or in any combination, and components can be added easily at any time.
