Laser firm applies for aerospace quality approval

The auditors SGS have recommended that gf laser - manufacturer of 3D laser cutting systems - has been recommended for the AS9100 Quality Approval Standard.

As part of an ongoing commitment to ensure systems meet the approval of the Aerospace Industry, gf laser are pleased to announce that they have been recommended for the AS9100 Quality Approval Standard by auditors SGS.

Pamela Aust, company secretary and quality advisor for gf laser parent Primat commented that: "This is an important step for gf laser in their mission to become one of the UK's top 3D laser cutting organisations.

I was especially pleased with the comments from the auditor who mentioned that the quality system was well documented, concise and appropriate to the operation and there was a good standard of control seen throughout the audit." The AS9100 standard, which includes accreditation to ISO 9001:2000, allows gf laser to supply organisations in the Aerospace Industry supply chain.

It also demonstrates the strength of their systems for traceability - A crucial factor in the supply to the Aerospace Industry.
