Europe's leading edge at Learning Technologies
An award winning application is among the offerings at the Learning Technologies show from Giunti Labs, Europe's top LCMS producer.
An award-winning learning content management system (LCMS) that is being used successfully in the public sector, along with such industries as telecoms, healthcare, banking and finance, are among the experiences awaiting visitors to the Giunti Labs stand (stand number 34) at this year's Learning Technologies exhibition, at London's Olympia, on 31st January and 1st February 2007.
Giunti Labs' philosophy and products will also be in evidence in a formal presentation being made in the presentation area within the exhibition.
Angus Turpin, manager for Giunti Labs in the UK and Ireland, will be discussing how new generation learning content management solutions (LCMS), based on XML templates, reusable learning objects and interoperability, could cut content production costs while improving the reusability and personalisation of learning content.
This should help users to migrate from classroom-led to web based training and beyond, into the innovative features of field-based learner support offered by new mobile learning solutions.
During his presentation, Turpin will outline the learn eXact LCMS Suite, Europe's leading LCMS infrastructure, which is currently deployed in more than 100 world leading pharmaceutical, telecoms and banking industry training departments.
This infrastructure is now also available with mobile learning and wearable training plug-ins, allowing the distribution of mobile content on Blackberry mailers, Windows Mobile Computers, Symbian Smartphones and Xybernaut Wearable Computers with Wi-Fi and RFID tags based location detection.
According to Turpin, this allows content to reach learners wherever they need support and on whatever device they want to use.
"Giunti Labs are well placed to meet the increasing demand for mobile learning," commented Turpin.
"For the last two years, our technicians have been developing mobile delivery technologies which can take any SCORM-compliant learning content and automatically adapt it for mobile delivery".
"Moreover, these learning materials are fully trackable".
"Consequently training and development professionals are no longer dependent on a delivery channel for their learning materials," he added.
"With the help of Giunti Labs, they can deliver learning materials in any format from the printed word to e-learning programs for mobile devices including PDAs, Blackberrys and even wearable headset devices".
"In many respects Giunti Labs are different from their competitors," Turpin explained.
"For one thing, they are a European company in a market that is heavily populated by American companies".
"In addition, they do not just adhere to standards but write and develop them - and they are the only learning management system producer in the world that has a 510 year pedigree".
