Giuliani has allowed for the reduction in the number of machines utilised while improving production and quality for a manufacturer of refrigerator compressors.

To take a leading role in a highly competitive sector, progressive companies now need to offer solutions that meet the most demanding requirements of its users This is the case with refrigerator compressor manufacturing

In this sector, Giuliani, with leadership and experience in compressor production along with the support of its subsidiary Gimco, have been reaping the benefits of increased sales in Asia of machining cells designed for the manufacturing of these highly advanced systems.

In providing innovative solutions, Giuliani has allowed for the reduction in the number of machines utilised while improving production and quality.

The result has been considerable savings for the customer in terms of investment and labour.

The increased activity in Asia has been achieved also in part to Giuliani's expansion of its range of machines designed for the manufacturing of refrigerator compressor components.

Worth noting is the introduction of the progressive honing machine ProHone (model PRH) which, combined with our rotary transfer machines, has enabled Giuliani to supply the customer with a complete manufacturing line capable of processing raw castings through to the finished product.

These solutions have immediately won acclaim on the Asian market where a considerable number of manufacturing cells have already been placed.

Some examples of our success are: " One of Giuliani's manufacturing cells is comprised of a rotary transfer machine Transtable model TRT 11/12 (11 stations / 12 machining units) designed for the complete machining of upper bearings.

This system achieves a cycle time of 12 seconds.

Furthermore the modular design of the Giuliani enables the user to achieve optimal productivity for today's production requirements while maintaining the flexibility needed to accommodate product development changes in the future.

" For the processing of the cylinder body, Giuliani has installed the Transtable TRT 11/14.

A cycle time of 13 seconds per workpiece shows the performance, quality and design of this equipment.

High throughput, labour savings, optimal accessibility to the work zone and reduced overall dimensions are some of the winning features of the Giuliani machine design.

" An important component in a refrigerator compressor is the shaft body; and Giuliani has designed the Transtable TRT 9/14 rotary transfer machine for the machining processes.

The design incorporated by Giuliani enables the client to meet all of today's production requirements and allows for future machine configuration changes that will guarantee the same high quality machining currently being experienced for many years into the future.

" Our most recent installation has been a manufacturing line delivered to an Asian customer for processing the crankcase.

This line is comprised of a rotary transfer machine Transtable model TRT 11/13 and a progressive honing machine ProHone model PRH 18/16.

This especially innovative coupling of design and process allows for the complete machining of a workpiece, including honing of the two critical bores, every 13 seconds.
