GiveMePower Joins Microsoft And Adobe In Providing Viewing Solutions For Rockwell Automation Industrial Computers

GiveMePower Corporation (OTCBB:GMPW), a leading provider of computer-aided design (CAD) and graphics development software for Windows mobile, wireless and desktop computing, and Rockwell Automation (NYSE:ROK), a world-leading provider of industrial, power and information solutions, today announced immediate availability of a new CAD viewing and markup solution for Rockwell Automation's latest Allen-Bradley VersaView CE industrial computer line.

Available as a productivity-enhancing extension for Rockwell Automation's new Windows CE.NET-based VersaView CE industrial computers, GiveMePower's PowerCAD CE Viewer improves operator efficiency by allowing plant-floor viewing and markup of AutoCAD-compatible designs, schematics and part libraries, including Rockwell Automation's complete library of ABECADT parts.

Other viewers included as standard equipment on VersaView CE computers include Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and MPEG file viewing.

"GiveMePower joins Microsoft and Adobe in providing viewers which let VersaView CE users do much more than they have in the past," said Don Steffens, product marketing manager, Rockwell Automation.

"We are installing PowerCAD CE on our demos so our customers can see first-hand further examples of flexibility that our new VersaView CE product line delivers beyond traditional HMI applications." With these viewers in place, manufacturers can store and retrieve machine manuals, drawings and training videos on VersaView CE terminals located on the plant floor.

This eliminates the need for operators and maintenance workers to have large manuals and drawings on a laptop computer for troubleshooting or repair, and lets training engineers incorporate MPEG training videos on the plant floor to improve overall plant efficiencies.

In addition to accessing files stored locally, VersaView CE users can access information located on a separate server, allowing, for example, production office users to download new manuals and part drawings to multiple VersaView CE units situated throughout a plant.
