Chris is currently Golder's market sector leader for manufacturing in the UK.
McDonald graduated from the University of Bristol with PhD investigating the impact of decalcification on the residual sheer strength of Fuller's Earth clay.
He then stayed at the university undertaking research, teaching and consultancy with Professor Brian Hawkins in a range of engineering geological topics including slopes, site investigation, mines, tunnels and hydrogeological studies until 1995 when he joined Golder.
