In the last twelve months Golder Associates has been consistently expanding its teams and business throughout the UK, where it has experienced significant growth across the breadth of its engineering and environmental services business.
Most recently it has opened a London office and another in Essex and this new office opening is yet another step in its strategic plan, which calls for increased capacity to handle both local and international projects.
"Combining our two existing Nottingham offices was always our goal and the new site provides greater potential for future growth, particularly as our clients continue to appreciate the value of our services," said Julian Jones, managing director, Golder Associates (UK) Limited.
However, for Golder's UK team the new Nottingham office holds a special significance, which goes beyond the Company's growth plans and expansion.
The building has been dedicated to the memory of Gary Attenborough, a Golder consultant who died suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart condition last year.
"It was a credit to Gary that even though his tenure with us was short, he made such a personal and professional impact on the company.
Consequently, by naming the building in his honour we are able to acknowledge our appreciation of his skills and dedication to Golder Associates," added Julian Jones.
Gary was instrumental in the successful creation and launch of GasSim in 2002, a valuable software tool that assesses and examines the risks posed by landfill gas emissions, developed for the Environment Agency.
