Global Display Solutions (GDS) ., market leader in the design and manufacture of industrial displays, has developed the first IP65 approved Large Screen LCD Display for outdoor use GDS was awarded the IP65 certificate for its new range of LCD Displays with Advanced Optical Enhancement (AOE) in September this year The IP65 certificate is only awarded to products which can guarantee total protection from dust and low water pressure

GDS's 17in, 32in and 45in LCD models with AOE have also received TuV approval, which proves the components of the display have been tested for safety by the independent approval agency TuV.
These displays feature GDS's AOE (patent pending),process and thermal management core technologies, enabling GDS to offer sunlight readable outdoor displays that are sealed against the elements.
The innovative displays also feature anti-vandal glass that doubles up as part of the contrast enhancement process.
Large clear text in accordance with the ISO13406-2 regulations, which specify requirements for display legibility and the new European Disability Act, can be displayed on the screen, along with full motion video.
This range of displays was originally designed for public information purposes within the railway industry as part of an ongoing customer project.
In order to be suitable for 24 hour outdoor application it was essential that the displays have been designed to withstand the rigours of sun, frost, rain and dust contamination.
The AOE process also improves the daylight readability and provides protection from vandalism, two more essential qualities for an outdoor information display.
