Confirming the number of 'active' job hunters using Jobsite.co.uk at the start of 2004 is the final part of the survey, which revealed that 73% of those taking part had already applied for new positions in 2004.
Jackie Jones, Jobsite's HR manager, comments: "It is no secret that the start of a New Year brings with it very high levels of activity in the recruitment market, but to see such an overwhelming response from our users is extremely encouraging.
This confirms that not only are there a number of people out there that are insecure and unsettled in their jobs, but they are going out there and actually doing something about it.
They are making the applications and are feeling more optimistic about their chances of making that change.".
