A label which sticks to wet and oily products, withstands more than 300degC and is designed to remain in place for 25 years, is the end result of a development programme between two companies.

A label which sticks to wet and oily products, withstands more than 300degC and is designed to remain in place for 25 years is the end result of a joint development program between two companies in the GSM Group, one of Europe's largest manufacturers of printed labels and nameplates.

The identification labeling system is designed for automotive manufacturers especially for car and commercial vehicle clutches.

The hybrid label stock was developed by GSM Primographic in Brecon to be used with label printing equipment supplied by GSM Printer and Label Systems of Luton.

GSM Printer and Label Systems general manager Martin Cameron said: "We have a great deal of expertise in automotive labeling applications within the GSM Group and this is a prime example of how we can work together to solve specific problems for our customers." GSM Printer and Label Systems specialises in providing specialist labels, label printing, bar coding and data capture solutions to a wide range of industries.

The GSM Group is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of printed labels and nameplates in metal and plastics and has manufacturing sites in Wales, Oxford and Yorkshire.
