The IT department at Liverpool John Lennon Airport are the latest company to have benefited from a bespoke solution created for a specific purpose.
As a busy international airport they needed a company that could supply a solution for more effective processing of passengers, at a minimal cost and with the least disruption to their services.
GSM designed a new system to replace the traditional methods that were being used at the airport, which had often resulted in lengthy queues for passengers, and a timely, costly procedure for the staff.

Product-tracking software ups production
Production line efficiency has been taken a step forward with the launch of product-tracking software that produces all reports required to run a lean manufacturing process.
The system processes and prints off barcodes which are then attached to boarding cards.
GSM supplied the department with the basic software and printers required to meet the criteria of the solution and after a short initial training period for staff, the system was quickly up and running.
This new process has proved to be cheaper, more economical and a much more efficient way of filtering passengers through the airport.
Airport System Support Analyst, Jennifer Brown says, "The best thing about the system is that it has simplified the procedure for the staff using the printers, making the process much more economical and helping to reduce queuing time for passengers".
"We were also able to purchase several backup printers as a precaution because the process is so crucial to the operation of the airport".
"The system needs to be constantly working and thanks to the high standard of GSM's technicians these backup printers have not yet needed to be utilised".
"GSM were always really helpful with any questions or queries that we had".
"The initial training was straightforward and the implementation of the system very smooth with the swap-over causing no problems".
