A strong metrology sector is key to the prosperity of UK manufacturing and the GTMA is delighted to have welcomed three more metrology companies into membership.

"A strong metrology sector is key to the prosperity of UK manufacturing and we are delighted to have welcomed three more metrology companies into membership in the last few months." enthuses GTMA director Julia Moore.

Recent additions to the GTMA membership list have included Bowers Metrology and Heidenhain GB, who have just been joined by Leicester-based CMM (Great Britain).

This newest member company has been established in the UK for the past three years and is the UK partner of major German CMM solutions provider Profitech.

Ian Miller, Service Manager of CMM, explains his reasons for joining the association.

"We saw membership of the GTMA as the ideal way of introducing our new and very advanced technology to the UK market.

These days we are all in the business of creating solutions for our clients and the association provides many excellent networking opportunities for information exchange and to develop contacts with potential partner companies.

We are keen to play an active part in the association and help it promote the role and importance of metrology.".
