Tom Griffiths, GTMA Business Manager, has been appointed Chairman of the BSI Technical Committee MTE/12 (tools for pressing and moulding).

Tom Griffiths, GTMA Business Manager, has been appointed Chairman of the BSI Technical Committee MTE/12 (tools for pressing and moulding) The MTE/12Technical Committee is responsible for standards relating to the toolmaking sector and its Chairman liaises with the BSI Secretary to ensure that standards are reviewed, confirmed and amended in accordance with the views of the Committee members

Tom explains how he sees his role, "As Chairman I shall endeavour to motivate and encourage the work of the committee members and to make sure that we review and update standards with the best interests of the toolmaking sector as a whole as our prime objective.

Effective, useful and up-to-date standards are an essential prerequisite for the competitiveness of our industry.".
