GTMA appoints chairman and new board member

Chris Hayward has been appointed Chairman of the GTMA, in addition to his current position as Chairman of the Marketing Committee, while Geoff Highley has also been appointed to the board.

Chris Hayward, Sales and Marketing Manager, Burcas, has been appointed Chairman of the GTMA, a role he will be fulfilling in addition to his current position as Chairman of the Marketing Committee.

A marketing man himself, Chris is keen to promote the GTMA and the benefits it offers its members, to the wider world of UK engineering and as Chairman he will also be representing the association and our industry on many occasions.

Geoff Highley, Operations Support Manager for McLaren Racing, has been appointed to the board as an Industry Representative.

Geoff brings with him not only a fresh perspective but also a wealth of experience of high-end UK manufacturing industry, including 25 years at British Aerospace, and combines his engineering knowledge with a client's eye view of the world.

Geoff has been a long-standing supporter of the GTMA and, in addition to his frequent guest appearances at GTMA award ceremonies he has also participated in many other GTMA events.
