GTMA Board appointments to raise competitiveness

A GTMA product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jul 13, 2004

Keith Evans and Nik Tipler have been appointed to the GTMA board and have the aim of helping UK toolmaking companies to become more competitive in the world market.

Keith Evans, Toolroom Director, PP Injection Moulds and Mouldings, has been appointed to board in the position of Chairman of the Mould and Die Section.

With over 35 years in the business, and 15 of those at senior management level, Keith has lost none of his appetite for the fray.

His aim is to further strengthen the GTMA's position as the "voice of UK toolmaking", helping to combat competition from overseas and keep tooling in the UK.

Nik Tipler, Managing Partner, Wines, has been appointed to the board in the position of Chairman of the Press Tool/Precision Engineering Section.

Nik is keen to promote information exchange between the different sections as he believes; "we all have a great deal to learn from each other.

With the wealth of skills and capabilities that GTMA members have if we work together we can all learn how to be more competitive in a global market." Nik was particularly impressed with the level of debate at the recent GTMA conference and would like to see GTMA help members put some of the good ideas expressed there into action.
