GTMA toolmakers optimistic during third quarter

The results of the latest GTMA survey for third quarter 2004, shows toolmakers taking a positive view with 39% of respondents experiencing either good, very good or excellent business conditions.

The results of the latest GTMA survey for third quarter 2004, shows toolmakers taking a positive view with 39% of respondents experiencing either good, very good or excellent business conditions, and a further 57% showing them as fair, leaving only 4% experiencing poor conditions General business outlook for the next six months was also positive with the great majority reporting either improving or static figures for shipments, orders and profits.

GTMA Business Manager, Tom Griffiths, commented; "This surge in confidence was reflected in a higher than usual response rate to the survey, up over 50% from last quarter.".
