GTMA business development training programme launched The GTMA, in partnership with its charitable wing The Tooling Trust, has launched a fully funded Business Development Programme, requiring no financial input from member companies and offering resources to the value of GBP 2500.00 per company.
The first four members to be accepted onto the programme are: Burcas, FSL Engineering, HBC and Select Moulds.
The programme will be delivered by GTMA at each company's premises and focuses entirely on the specific needs of that participant.
In total it is expected that five visits will be required during the programme, which comprises: * The DTI Benchmark Index: comparing each company against some of the 10,000 UK and European companies.
This facility analyses key performance indicators by comparison.
* Supply Chain Awareness: looking at company performance in dealing with clients, suppliers and competitors, internal supply chain analyses and supply chain mapping.
* Sales and Marketing Review: evaluating and developing working practices in customer relationship management and sales techniques.
Each diagnostic is designed for completion within forty minutes and is supported by a short report with recommendations for improvement measures.
The timescale for delivery is tuned to each participant's needs, so the programme can be delivered over three months, for those wishing to fast track, or can be taken over a year, with activities based on quarterly input.
GTMA CEO, Julia Moore, commented: "With quality, cost and delivery principles being recognised as the key drivers for customer satisfaction, supplier evaluation is a given principle with top-performing OEMs.
To assist our members successfully achieve selection and therefore participate in the supply chain process, we have created this business development programme to help them assess and improve their business processes.
We are delighted to have been supported in this venture by The Tooling Trust, whose assistance has been invaluable.".
