With its focus on supply chain networks and business development programmes, the UK's GTMA is continuing to attract new companies into membership of the association.

With its focus on supply chain networks and business development programmes, GTMA is continuing to attract new companies, including Whiston Industries, one of the UK's most prestigious tool and die solution providers, into membership of the association.

Four additional new members include: Alphateq, manufacturers of prototype and development automotive power train tooling, pattern making, model making, body engineering and form tools, Lodent Precision, plastic injection mould, pressure die-cast and sub-contract precision machining, toolmakers with full in-house design and plastic moulding facilities, Sheen Spark specialists in wire and spark erosion services for the aerospace sector and Southampton-based, Simplefit, which provides precision engineering solutions to industries including automotive, aerospace, construction, medical and electronics both in the UK and abroad.

GTMA CEO, Julia Moore, commented: "It is our aim to assist member companies, from the largest to the smallest, to participate successfully in their selected manufacturing supply chains, through networking opportunities, technology transfer seminars, specialist development programmes and a host of other activities, designed to support our members' business objectives.

It is a key part of our role to bring buyers and suppliers together 'from concept to component' along the supply chain." As the UK's leading Trade association representing, tool making, metrology, precision machining, rapid product development and tooling technologies, GTMA is a focal point for innovation exchange, as well as providing legal and business support to its members.
