40 gauge and tool makers to exhibit in
MACH
The UK's Gauge and Tool Makers' Association reported that around 40 member companies will be exhibiting at MACH 2006 and some on the Association's 'GTMA Village' stand.
GTMA, the UK's leading Trade association representing tool making, metrology, precision machining, rapid product development and tooling technologies, attracted 25 new members in 2005 The association is delighted that over 40 member companies are either exhibiting independently or participating in the GTMA Village, stand number 4510, where you will find: Berger Tools, Boneham and Turner, EOS Piccadilly Precision, Rofin Baasel, Sescoi, Zodiac Screw Gauge and WDS

South Wales based FSG Tool and Die was a double winner at the recent Production Engineering Solutions Awards ceremony held at the GTMA 60th Anniversary Lunch at the Savoy Hotel, London.
In 2006, GTMA is continuing to focus on creating business opportunities for members, both through face-to-face meetings, for example 'meet the buyer' events and Medical Automotive and Aerospace events and also publications such as the Buyers Guide and GTMA News.
In addition, the on-line Business Generator attracted nearly 61,000 unique visitors in the last twelve months and the site is achieving top ranking responding to searches such as 'press tools', 'mould and die' and 'jigs and fixtures' on major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.
GTMA is frequently contacted by buyers who are looking to locate sources for components and products and increasing numbers of buyers are turning to the association for assistance in drawing up short lists of suppliers for specific tasks.
As a result, GTMA is in the process of creating national supply chain networks for the Aerospace, Automotive and Medical sectors.
2006 sees the launch of an exciting new initiative in GTMA's Metrology activities, with the secondment of Colin Harper, from the National Physical Laboratory, to the association as Metrology Champion.
The association is actively involved in leading-edge EU-funded research and it is a focal point for technology transfer, as well as providing legal and business support to its members and the association has developed a series of World Class engineering standards.
The GTMA has strong international links and is a founder member of ISTMA (International Special Tooling and Machining Association).
Through its overseas exhibitions, Trade Missions and association connections, the GTMA collects market intelligence on relevant industry topics for both UK and world-wide markets.
