Belfast, Northern Ireland-based Crossen Engineering is the latest press tool company to join GTMA, further strengthening this section of the association.

Crossen joins 26 other press tool companies in the membership, from Allenvale to Whiston Industries, in locations from Essex to Wales and from Durham to Hampshire.

Crossen, founded in 1978 by managing director, Derek Crossen, specialises in the design and manufacture of press and injection tooling, deep draw progression tooling and prototype tooling for a wide variety of sectors including automotive, defence and aerospace.

Director, Paul Crossen, explains the company's reasons for joining GTMA: "We have been considering becoming members for quite a while, so when we visited MACH we took the opportunity of meeting GTMA CEO Julia Moore and discussing the benefits we would gain.

For us the greatest of these were the ability to benchmark ourselves against other companies and the opportunity to participate in the World Class programme.

The company, which employs 11 staff and shares its centrally located premises with associate companies, CNC Pressings and MC Turning.
