Automotive manufacturing seminar

The automotive sector is still a critical area for manufacturing in the UK and there are tremendous opportunities for business - seminar topic.
A major seminar initiative by the GTMA entitled 'The Future of the UK Automotive Industry' is to be staged at Productivity Partnerships exhibition at 600 Centre in Shepshed, Loughborough on 14 November 2006 Said Julia Moore, GTMA Chief Executive: "The automotive sector is still a critical area for manufacturing in the UK and there are tremendous opportunities for business"

Meanwhile, David Wilton from PriceWaterhouseCoopers is providing an outline on the future of UK's automotive sector.
Adding technology to the day will be Brian O'Rouke, Chief Composites Engineer for Williams F1 Team, who will be outlining developments in F1 materials technology and Ian Edmonds, Production Manager of the Zytek Group, will be discussing the use of technology in motorsport.
Zytek is involved very closely with electric vehicles, A1 GP racing engines and the Le Mans Series.
Nik Tipler President of GTMA will open the proceedings.
The three day Productivity Partnerships event spanning 14 to 16 November involves 24 of the UK's leading suppliers of production engineering technology working closely together to demonstrate the latest developments on some 30 different machine tools spanning turning, milling, grinding, EDM, component cleaning, laser marking and robotics.
There are also numerous tooling, workholding, control, software, inspection and measurement demonstrations.
