DRO and CNC systems firm joins GTMA

A GTMA product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jun 4, 2007

Regarding the UK's GTMA as 'one of our most proactive trade associations', measurement and control company, ACI (UK), has taken up membership of the Association.

Measurement and control specialist ACI (UK) has joined the Gauge and Toolmakers Association (GTMA) to reflect the continuing importance to toolmakers of the company's range of products.

These include Acu-Rite, Anilam and Metronics Gage-Chek digital readout (DRO) and CNC systems.

Managing director Phil Goulding said that the functionality of all the company's products align with the accuracy demands inherent in the toolmaking sector.

He regarded the GTMA as 'one of our most proactive trade associations'.

He pointed out that the Metronics Gage-Chek DRO is consistently being successfully applied in a wide range of 'go/no-go' tolerance check applications throughout the tool and mouldmaking sector.

He said: "Gage-Chek is the simpler, lower-cost alternative to co-ordinate measuring machines for a host of components where repetitive multi-gauge inspection of relatively simple parts, often families of parts, are required." Gage-Chek is able to measure up to 16 dimensions per part.

It takes up to eight encoder or LVDT/Half Bridge inputs - including length gauges, and linear and rotary encoders, as well as a wide range of measuring instruments.

The system's versatile go/no go display combines familiar DRO functionality with colour graphics and audio alerts to provide fast and accurate measurement feedback.

The instrument's ruggedness and ease of use makes it ideal for shopfloor uses.
