The Rapid Machining Forum @ TCT 2007 During the forthcoming UK TCT 2007 manufacturing exhibition, the UK's GTMA will be running the Rapid Machining Forum which will review advanced CAM software and milling techniques.

A forum of free seminars, organised by the UK's Gauge and Tool Makers' Association (GTMA) will review techniques for rapid manufacturing - September 26 + 27 - at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, UK.

The Rapid Machining Forum will review the fast emerging area of manufacturing parts using advanced CAM software and milling techniques.

Leading users and writers of CAM software and hardware technology will demonstrate real examples of parts machined directly from the raw material.

The forum provides the platform for milling techniques to go head-to-head with RP and M (rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing) additive techniques and will prove that rapid manufacturing can be subtractive too.

During each day of TCT, an afternoon seminar session will feature the following presentations.

* 14.00 - 14.20: Session Introduction from GTMA.

* 14.20 - 14.40: Rapid Manufacturing by Machining, Peter Dickin, Delcam.

* 14.40 - 15.00: Efficient Manufacturing via Succesful Planning and Machining - Keith Juggins, Sescoi UK.

* 15.00 - 15.20: Ringing in the Changes, A Look at Direct Ring Making - Peter Chaplin, Datron.

* 15.20 - 15.40: RP to RM, One Solution, One Process - Patrick Thorn, Roland DG.
