Dot matrix printers increase plastics productivity
A plastics piping products manufacturer is now using 40 TallyGenicom dot matrix printers to manage its business critical documents and maximise productivity.
Georg Fischer, a leading UK manufacturer of plastics piping products, is now utilising 40 TallyGenicom matrix printers to manage its business critical documents and maximise productivity.
Georg Fischer specialises in the designing, manufacturing and marketing of plastics piping systems for the safe and secure conveyance of liquids and gases.
It employs over 100 staff at its UK head offices in Coventry, UK.
The company uses printers to manage heavy workloads and warehouse documentation, which are produced on a daily basis.
When the company had to upgrade its existing printers, it consulted TallyGenicom.
Georg Fischer technical support analyst, Ray Hill, explained: "We have used TallyGenicom printers since 1990 and they have proved extremely reliable, so I saw no reason for us to change.
Installation of the new printers was quick and easy, which makes my life easier".
Any new printers had to be compatible with Georg Fischer's existing business software to avoid having to renew expensive operating systems.
TallyGenicom's dot matrix printers are designed to work with any legacy system including UNIX, SAP and DOS, ensuring utmost functionality and ease of set-up.
They also avoid expensive software overheads, said Tallygenicom.
The printers are designed to provide continuous, unattended throughput and reliability.
Through providing reliable and robust printers, TallyGenicom said it is able to meet the requirements of the most challenging user.
TallyGenicom Senior vice president and managing director for EMEA, Robin Edwardes, said: "We are pleased to work with an organisation like Georg Fischer.
Our ability to maintain faithful customers for this length of time speaks volumes in terms of our commitment to customer service and satisfaction".
He added: "We hope to continue this successful working relationship long into the future".
