A Gudel UK product story

World-wide support for customers of Gudel's recently-extended automation and material handling systems integration services has been boosted with the opening of two new operating companies in China and India.

The move not only reflects the increasingly global nature of Gudel UK's core automotive and aerospace business - where projects can frequently be specified, purchased and installed on different continents - but also the explosive growth of manufacturing industry in both these countries.

"The pre and post-sales support provided by the new Gudel operations in Shanghai and Pune complement the design and applications engineering resources at our Coventry headquarters perfectly," comments Gudel UK's joint managing director, Gary Ottley.

"It enables us to offer overseas customers the best of both worlds - high performance, turnkey systems specified and engineered in the UK, backed by top flight in-country maintenance and support." "Contracts like the pair of automatic assembly stations we recently supplied to one of the world's top three motor manufacturers ably demonstrate the value of our new operations in China and India," Mr Ottley continues.

"All design and development work was undertaken in-house with the help of strategic partners in the robotics, workholding and ancillary equipment sectors; prior to shipment and installation of the equipment at our customer's assembly plant on the other side of the world." "Local support can be a vital element in securing overseas contracts," he adds.

"We therefore believe that we are exceptionally well placed to capitalise on the business opportunities emerging from both countries' rapidly-expanding economies".

" This, in turn, will help to fuel the continued growth of our UK operations during the coming months and years.".
