Gudel UK continues to strengthen its senior sales and customer support team with the appointment of Colin Reader as its Area Sales Manager for the East of the UK.
Coventry-based systems integration specialist, Gudel UK continues to strengthen its senior sales and customer support team with the appointment of Colin Reader as its Area Sales Manager for the East of the UK.
With more than 25 years sales and applications engineering experience within the machine tool, automation and motion control systems sectors, Reader joins Gudel with key responsibilities for developing sales of the company's automation and work handling solutions at both existing and new accounts.
"Colin's appointment reflects our drive to double company turnover within the next 12 months," says Gudel's joint managing director, Gary Ottley.
"Enquiries are currently running well ahead of target, particularly for custom-engineered systems to meet high volume metalworking, assembly, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, logistics and warehousing applications".

Born and educated in Coventry, Reader served an apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering before joining Webster and Bennett in 1977, and further city-based machine tool specialists, Matrix-Churchill two years later.
In 1985, he became a control systems service engineer with Siemens Energy and Automation and subsequently took up his first sales and applications engineering position at automation equipment company, Robert Bosch.
During his next ten years with the company, Reader became Technical Sales Manager for Bosch's VPI department within the Automation Technology Division, before moving to Control Techniques Precision Systems as Product Manager in 1998.
He joins Gudel from Siemens' Automation and Drives Division, where, as Account Manager, he was responsible for sales and technical specification of the company's complete range of machine tool and motion control products.
Married, with one daughter, Reader continues to live in Coventry and lists restoring classic motorcycles and cars among his leisure pursuits.
