Precision linear/drive machine components extended

A Gudel UK product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Mar 16, 2006

Automation systems and components provider has extended its range of precision linear and drive technology components for machine tool, automation and special machine building.

Coventry-based systems integration and automation equipment specialist, Gudel UK has extended its range of precision linear and drive technology components for machine tool, automation and special machine building applications.

The latest additions cover Gudel's complete range of precision drive pinions, racks, rollers, carriages and guideways and are ideally suited to installations demanding high speed, high acceleration or precise positioning of components weighing up to several hundred kilograms.

Produced in both module and metric sizes up to module 8.0 and 20mm pitch, the company's drive pinions ensure high accuracy and low backlash operation when used in conjunction with Gudel's matched series of straight or helical form rack units.

Racks are available in steel in precision cut, precision cut and hardened, or hardened and ground options capable of withstanding loads up to 50kN.

They are also offered in stainless steel and a variety of special finishes to combat aggressive or corrosive operating environments.

A further range of low-cost injection moulded Polyoximethylen rack units is provided for light to medium duty applications.

All Gudel racks are manufactured to close tolerances, ready for use in continuous runs without modification.

In addition, they can be supplied with pre-drilled mounting holes for rapid fixing.

Complementing its rack and pinion ranges is the company's wide variety of heavy duty plain and grooved rollers and guideways.

A selection of low backlash worm gear and bevel drive units is also offered - enabling users to engineer complete solutions to their component handling and automation problems.

To mark the availability of its 2006 range, Gudel has also updated its free 360-page selection guide, which provides detailed specification data across its complete range of drive system components.

In addition, the company's recently-updated Web site features a 'Fast Developer' on-line tool that enables users to quickly select, configure and order high precision worm gearboxes.

The website also provides instant access to fully specified 3D CAD models of Gudel's precision drive components, which can be downloaded on demand to users' desktops.

These facilities are backed by a comprehensive applications engineering service and Gudel's customer support helpline - enabling the most appropriate product for customers' automation or precision work handling needs to be specified quickly and accurately.

All Gudel equipment is manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards, with most items available ex-stock from the company's UK headquarters in Coventry.
