Solid carbide cutters tap holes in steels
Among a wide selection of drills, taps, milling cutters and toolholders, Guhring introduced aolid carbide taps for threading steel and a PCD insert face-mill for non-ferrous alloys.
PCD inserts feature high speed face-mill
For the economical high speed machining of non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, aluminium-alloys and copper, a range of face-mills holds three to 20 PCD inserts.
Here, our tool management comes into its own, providing process planning, stock control, logistics, tool application, tool maintenance and process optimisation.
To provide customers with tool stock and tool administration facilities, Guhring has developed various tool dispensing systems as part of our tool management service that excel through simple operation, optimal storage facilities, automated ordering process as well as transparency in consumption and cost allocation.
At EMO 2005 in Hanover, Guhring introduced the TM Multi-Vend system as an entry level version of the well known TM Tool Vending Machine.
It is an electronically locking tool dispensing system made of robust sheet steel with fully extractable draws, that, with a comprehensive range of dividers can be adapted to the individual tool stock.
The TM Multi-Vend tool administration applies the well proven Guhring TM software, operated comfortably and clearly via a touch-screen-monitor and Barcode scanner.
An online-connection to one or more suppliers enables automatic ordering via the Internet possible.
Guhring's TM software is capable of recording and managing all movement data, as for example, removal, returns and filling, allocating tooling costs to cost groups, i e, cost centres or components and administrating reworked tools, regrinds or measuring instruments.
The user benfits from tranparency regarding tool consumption, cost allocation and stock control, 24h controlled tool availability, prevention of tool stoppages through monitoring minimum stock levels, reduction in stocking as well as administration costs and from personnel awareness regarding tool cost (i e, by displaying tool cost).
