Roundsling hook is for safe lifting up to 5t
Made from a one piece forged component the special design of a roundsling hook - suitable for 4t and 5t WLL web and roundslings - enables simple replacement of a worn or damaged sling.
Gunnebo Lifting are complementing their component program in the GrabiQ series with a new size of roundsling hook.
The new hook will be the largest in the series of RH hooks and carries the designation of RH 5-8+.
The hook is suitable for 4t and 5t WLL web and roundslings.
The RH hook is a one piece forged component and its special design enables simple replacement of a worn or damaged sling.
RH hooks are now available in four different sizes for loads up to five tonnes.
The Gunnebo Lifting RH roundsling hook is suitable for use with roundslings or webbing strops and the new RH hook has been produced in response to demand from the market.
"Demand for a larger sized hook has accelerated because our customers have understood all the advantages of the smaller RH hooks," says Morgan Lindblom, product manager at Gunnebo Lifting.
The special design of the RH hook provides safer lifting and makes it easy to connect, adjust and guide the load.
The Gunnebo RH 5-8+ is, just like the smaller hooks, single piece manufactured in order to minimize the number of lifting components.
By minimizing the number of lifting components, the risk of worn or incorrectly fitted links is reduced.
Furthermore, the replacement of worn slings is made easier.
Colour and CE marked hoisting hooks - the new RH 5-8+ hoisting hook is, like the other hooks, colour coded according to Standard EN 1492.
The hook is CE marked because it qualifies as a complete lifting accessory in itself.
"Two heels on the hook help to protect the sling if the hook and sling are dragged along the ground.
Additionally, the hook is designed not to snag other components.
To minimize the risks of crushing or damaging the sling during lifting, the radius of the RH hooks contact surface with the sling has been made extra large," continues Lindblom.
The hooks are designed for easy assembly of temporary slings or for quick replacement of worn or damaged sling legs.
The hook can also be securely locked for permanent assemblies, all that is required to fix the fitting is to hammer in the matching locking pin set.
The RH hooks included in the innovative Gunnebo GrabiQ program are type tested as per EN-1677 standards and type approved as per the German Berufsgenossenschaft (BG).
