Rotary basket washers clean up
automotive parts
Rotary basket washers are providing highly cost effective solutions for washing pump bodies and exhaust manifolds at two Hungarian manufacturers.
Two separate Hungarian companies recently installed several Guyson Orbit 800 rotary basket washers These fast, effective and economical cleaning and degreasing machines were specified as the perfect cost effective solution for washing pump bodies at one and exhaust manifolds at another

Rotary basket units wash gears cost effectively

Robotic cell deburrs air tool components
Atlas Copco has installed a robotically integrated, beadblast finishing cell to lightly deburr and cosmetic finish a range machined rotors, gearshafts, housings and nuts.
These industrial quality washers built from heavy gauge stainless steel and equipped 150 litre/minute pumps (made by one of the manufacturers) draw the heated wash solution from a well insulated 275 litre wash tank fitted with a 16kW heater.
Pumped at pressures up-to 4.2 bar (60 psi) the heated aqueous cleaning solution is discharged under considerable pressure through 'V' spray jets directly at the components.
Positioned above, below and to the side, each pressurised jet is used exclusively for the cleaning process, no energy from the pump is expended to power the turntable, which is rotated independently by a separate geared motor.

Aqueous Parts Washer For The Smaller Workshop
A new, automatic, low cost, high impact aqueous power washer for degreasing and cleaning small to medium sized parts has been introduced by Guyson International.
The exhaust manifolds are suspended on a purpose made jig that allows the internal galleys to be cleared of swarf with a hand lance shooting a high velocity stream of wash solution directly down the bore of the hollow components, further cleaning of the internal bore is achieved with large dedicated jets directing wash solution down the bore as it passes underneath them.
The lid is then closed and the start sequence activated, an adjustable timer regulates the wash cycle, whilst the basket rotates under the powerful wash jets thoroughly cleaning the external surfaces.
The pump bodies have their own fixtured basket that supports three of the components and presents them at the optimum angle for washing, the machine being able to take a maximum load of 150kg.
The operators working environment is enhanced with the steam and water vapour being evacuated away by extraction fan and the disc oil skimmer removes the worst of the contamination from the wash solution.
The machines were complete with low water level sensor, ball float valve for automatic water fill and a fine filtration system.
Additionally they were fitted at the rear with a cradle with adjustable feet that allowed the lid to tilt back as far as 90 degrees giving access to the centre of the machine with a crane for load/unload of full baskets if required.
These machines are an ideal cost competitive solution for installation into cellular manufacturing units practising lean production techniques. Request a free brochure from Guyson International ...
