A two-stage conveyorised tunnel provides a compact cellular washer for degreasing short metallic open ended tubes of mineral pressing oil and shop dirt prior to assembly.

The Guyson International two-stage conveyorised Marr-Line tunnel provides the perfect compact cellular washer for degreasing ranges of short metallic open ended tubes of mineral pressing oil and shop dirt prior to assembly or subsequent processes.

Varied short tubular components; often used in heating boilers, radiators, refrigerators, chillers and cooling products, can be thoroughly washed by loosely packing them upright into wire baskets.

This simple production method allows a very wide range of components to be cleaned and gives the flexibility of the future component mix to change as further projects are added to the production timetable.

Washing is achieved in a high-pressure spray-washing chamber with the 100 litre/min stainless steel vertical pumps flushing wash solution through directed wash jets, creating a deluge of cleaning force.

The stainless steel honeycomb belt can take a maximum belt loading of 100kg of components and allows good access for the underneath wash jets to penetrate the parts, allowing excellent 360 deg component washing.

Optional extras including: an auto-dosing unit fitted to the wash tank is recommended to maintain accurate wash strength solution and an external Guyson tramp oil separator is best specified to remove the worst excesses of oil contamination from the cleaning solution, thus extending the cleaning solution life and maintaining its effectiveness.

A Filtermist condenser fitted above the wash section for the collection of oil charged water vapour would also be recommended.

The drying section of a typical two stage machine is fitted with a full width overhead air knife that can be adjusted up and down to accommodate differing heights of components and angled to shear off as much residue moisture as possible before entering the in-line heater box, operating at 110 deg C; parts then exit onto a 500mm out-feed extension fitted with photo electric cell to stop the conveyor when the basket reaches the end.

All Guyson Marr-Line's now include of range of productivity and servicing benefits which provide clients with washable filters, automatic water fill via ball-float valves, low level water sensors, quick release couplings on the spray bar units for ease of cleaning, large easy-opening side doors to all wash and rinse units to facilitate easy access and sloping tank floors for ease of and faster draining.

Prospective users of its manual or automated spray wash systems are encouraged to submit sample components for free feasibility testing to the company's extensive development workshop at Skipton, England.
