Line welds intravenous bags at 900-5000/h
An automatic welding line produces intravenous 100ml to 5 litre bags of PVC and PVC FREE film at outputs of 900 to over 3000 bags/h.
GEAF has developed a new fully automatic welding line for the production of intravenous bags of PVC and PVC FREE film.
The line is able to produce bags of tubular or calendared film with welding occurring on all four sides of the bag.
It is consists of several key units including the following.
* Film reel-holders with unwinders.
* Film alignment system.
* Printing unit (optional).
* Precut tubes feeding system.
* Thermocontact and high frequency welding press.
* High frequency generator.
* Indexing unit.
* Automatic offal accumulating unit.
* Stacking and unloading unit (optional).
* Electrical control panel with PLC.
The line is able to produce bags with volumes ranging from 100ml to 5 litre.
Depending on bag volume the production results range from approximately 900 to over 3000 bags/h.
The line has been engineered using the latest technologies available which include the following.
* Brushless electric motors used for the welding press, indexing device and offal management device.
* The four post welding press is equipped with a knee-guards moving system that allows a high precision micrometric system to regulate the distance between tool and counter-tool; this occurs through the control console at the end of the welding acting only.
* The welding process happens without the use of insulating film.
* All the working parameters can be monitored for each weld cycle.
* Tele-assistance for remote analysis and diagnostics of the operation.
* RF autotuner, arc flash detection and suppression.
Several of these lines have been built and commissioned with great success, said GEAF.
Machinery can be supplied globally including North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
