Brecon, UK-based GSM Primographic, which specialises in labels and fascias, has appointed a new sales manager to help it drive the business forward.

John Droogan, 41, who lives in Newport, brings expertise in sales and sales management.

He has experience in industrial adhesives serving a range of markets including the automotive sector, a key GSM Primographic market.

He said: "I am looking forward to the challenges of growing the sales significantly for this very capable company.

With the range of processes and services available both from within GSM Primographic and from the rest of the GSM Group, we can offer our customers complete solutions to their needs." The company was recently awarded the Investors in People standard and Droogan has already started to enjoy the GSM Primographic culture.

"It's refreshing to be part of such an open and forward-thinking management team," he said.

GSM Primographic produces a range of labels and anti-vibration products for the automotive sector, recently winning a major contract from Jaguar, and products for the domestic applicant market, including knobs and control panels for cookers, oven door assemblies and microwave fascias.

General manager Andrew Farthing said: "John's experience fits well with our needs and his appointment will not only help us to bring our products to new customers but also to deepen our relationship with existing customers by showing them the full scope of our abilities." GSM Primographic is part of the GSM Group, one of Europe's largest manufacturers of printed labels and nameplates in metals and plastics, which also has manufacturing sites in Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Yorkshire.
