TVLogic Selects Gennum's VXP Technology to Power Next Generation LCD Monitors

Gennum Corporation, a leading producer of professional-quality image processing solutions, has announced that TVLogic, a developer of professional video equipment for the broadcast industry, has selected the GF9351 image processor with Visual Excellence Processing (VXP) technology to power all four of their new multi-format LCD monitors.

Comprising the LVM series of professional multi-format monitors, the 17", 23", 24" and 46" LCD monitors are now being deployed in broadcast studios throughout the world, including CNN, CBC, Univision and Panavision, among others.

All models support HD resolutions with the 24" and 46" LCD monitors supporting the full HD 1080p format.

The GF9351 image processor provides image quality that the professional and broadcast market has come to expect from CRT displays, but in a more cost effective, compact and low power design.

At the heart of the GF9351 are four families of VXP image processing technologies developed from professional broadcast algorithms:.

* TruMotionHD intelligent motion-adaptive de-interlacing and film cadence processing of HD and SD material for optimal image sharpness and resolution.

* FineEdge dynamic edge detection and processing to eliminate jagged edges often found in common de-interlacing solutions.

* FidelityEngine programmable image enhancement technologies for removal of unwanted noise and improvement of detail.

* RealityExpansion10-bit colour processing for eye-catching natural images and uncompromised video and film quality.
