Customised pin headers for PCB connections

A Harwin product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team May 31, 2007

High performance interconnect manufacturer, Harwin, has introduced a service offering PCB connections for awkward situations with customer-specific pin header configurations.

Manufacturers who are having to connect to a PCB in an unusual manner will be interested in a service from high performance interconnect maker, Harwin.

The Portsmouth-based company enables customers who can't find a pin header to suit from its wide range, to specify a device customised to their own needs.

Pins are available up to 40mm in length, on pitches of 1.27, 2 and 2.54mm.

Explains Technical Support Engineer, Wendy Bourne: "By allowing customers to specify exactly what they want we are providing a cost-effective and very flexible option for designers who have run into tricky connection challenges".

Pin headers mate with Harwin's female sockets and samples are available for all configurations.

The pin headers are lead free and feature high temperature mouldings to accommodate RoHS-compliant solder processes.

They are available in vertical, horizontal and extended PC tail, vertical and extended surface mount styles.
