Manual/CNC lathe brings work back in-house
A Harrison Alpha Plus S 550 manual/CNC lathe has given a significant boost to capacity at Invensys Brook Crompton, enabling it to improve its competivity by bringing work back in-house.
It now has a large number of customers operating Harrison lathes right across the UK, from Scotland to Wales and the South-West.
Datamach's managing director Roger Lawrence attributes the company's 25-year success story to: "A good team of long-serving staff who are dedicated to the products".
He added: "We have grown with the Alpha range.
We now have a 6,000ft2 showroom where we always have demonstration machines.
We also have a training school where customers can send operators to learn new advanced skills and we have service engineers to provide customers with the reassurance of full after-sales and service back-up." He explained that Datamach is committed to continued growth in order to be able to supply new customers and further extend its level of service to existing customers.
As part of Datamach's ongoing business development David Lawrence, the son of the company's founder, who has worked in the business for many years, is taking an increasingly active role in its business planning and day-to-day management.
Harrison's sales director David Smith said: "Datamach has achieved a huge amount as a specialist machine tools distributor in a relatively short time.
It is now undoubtedly one of the leading distributors in our global network.
Over the past 12 months Datamach's record of sales successes and customer service has been outstanding and the company richly deserves its 'Distributor of the Year' status.
